Throwing Stones

On the back of the photo this painting was done from my mother had written, "Joshua throwing stones in the water." I did this painting backwards, painting the details of the chair first and then filling the background in around it. The painting is two years old. I just recently added the light bulbs. Some really fun things happened when I added the shadow to the lightbulb that has apparently gone out.

This was before I had discovered the wonders of Galkyd and Linseed oil. They are magic.
